Founded in 1913, Chicago Protective Apparel is now a fourth generation, family-run company, currently celebrating our 108th year in business! Selling uniquely through distribution, we manufacture personal protective equipment (PPE), and offer an extensive line of over 20,000 products. Our head office and primary manufacturing facility is located in Skokie, IL. In 2005 we expanded to a second plant in Acuña Mexico. Having two production plants means we are fully equipped to efficiently meet the unique needs of our customers.

In 2020, we moved our primary manufacturing facility and offices to a much larger building, virtually tripling the amount of production space available.

We are committed to the continual improvement of our product offerings through innovative research and development. The products we manufacture cater in particular to the oil, gas, chemical and petroleum, steel and aluminum foundry, arc flash, glass, welding and janitorial / maintenance industries. Our Research & Development department has its finger on the pulse of cutting-edge technologies and the ever-changing needs of the protective apparel industry. We are constantly working to test new technologies, educate ourselves, expand, and improve our product offerings. We know what works; and would love to share it with you today.
